There will be six identical mermaid statues sculpted by a local artist and decorated by local schools groups. The first five statues below will be unveiled with a small celebration event; the sixth (decorated by the sculptor) will be unveiled by the Mayor.

Singing, to the people of Rhos, is very important. Rhosllanerchrugog is a village of about 9,000 inhabitants situated on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful Vale of Maelor in North East Wales. The village of Rhos remains a vigorous Welsh community.
